UC San Diego Health in Encinitas is seeking a Medical Assistant - Primary Care. Under supervision, you will support patient care, room patients, take vital signs, perform venipuncture, schedule appointments, and assist with procedures in a fast-paced clinic.

The role requires CMA/MA training, BLS, 1+ year in primary care, and strong organization. Full-time, 100% effort, with benefits and on-site parking at a community-focused clinic.

Formación

• CMA or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• Current BLS certification at time of hire (BART required within 6 months).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced Primary Care or Family Medicine setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, universal precautions, and proper body mechanics.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in venipuncture.

Responsabilidades

• Rooming patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with procedures.
• Performing venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Managing patient flow and supporting efficient clinic operations.
• Scheduling appointments and navigating electronic health records.
• Maintaining exam rooms, stocking supplies, and ensuring infection control standards.
• Supporting providers with in-basket tasks and patient communication.
