Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient-centered care. You will welcome patients, document histories and vitals, assist with exams and testing, and help coordinate care for a positive healthcare experience.

You will communicate test results and instructions to patients, provide education, and work with the care team to support quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus an accredited MA program/externship or internship.
• EMT, Paramedic, or Certified Athletic Trainer credentials considered.
• MA credential options CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
