Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. You will work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, and help coordinate care to create a positive healthcare experience each day.

The role involves welcoming patients, documenting histories and vitals, assisting with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection. CPR is required, with credentialing encouraged where possible.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an MA program and externship/internship.
• EMT, Paramedic, or Certified Athletic Trainer credentials are valued.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
