Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or healthcare experience.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) or Red Cross CPR/ AED.
• No MA experience required if program completed; 1 year healthcare experience preferred for other candidates.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls and identify patient health concerns per guidelines.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and update medications/allergies in EMR.
• Prepare exam rooms, stock supplies, and assist with examinations and procedures.
• Demonstrate clinical skill and assist providers during procedures.
• Schedule appointments and process referrals.
• Inventory and order medical supplies, label correctly.
• Use Cerner and GroupWise for documentation per protocol.
• Greet patients and escort to exam room.
• Sterilize and prepare instruments.
