Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred but will accept applicants with healthcare experience (EMT, LNA, Military Medics, Technicians, etc.).
• Certification/registration encouraged within first three years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Answers phone per practice guidelines and directs calls.
• Interviews patients and records vital signs and medications in the EMR.
• Prepares treatment rooms and assists with examinations and procedures.
• Schedules patient appointments and orders referrals per guidelines.
• Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
• Gleans and preserves sterilization of instruments and maintains a clean workspace.
