Logan Health Primary Care in Kalispell, MT is seeking a Medical Assistant Trainee ready to become a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). This PRN/part-time role offers hands-on patient care, teamwork with physicians and nurses, and opportunities to grow clinical skills in a busy primary care setting.

You will greet patients, assist with exams, collect specimens, document in the EMR, and coordinate referrals and follow-ups while supporting clinic operations and patient communications.

Qualifications

  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
  • Current BLS/CPR or RQI Provider within seven days of hire, or before independent patient care.
  • 1 year of medical practice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, room, and prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs.
  • Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Collect laboratory specimens, perform competency-validated clinical tasks, and document patient information in the EMR.
  • Coordinate patient care activities including referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, scheduling, and follow-up.
  • Support daily clinic operations by maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies and assisting with patient calls and portal communications.

Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program.
