Job summary

Corewell Health Enhanced Primary Care in Wyoming seeks a Medical Assistant to join a pod-based clinical support team and deliver patient-centered care. Corewell Health Enhanced Primary Care is a value-based clinic that utilizes a proactive, team-based approach to manage patient populations-particularly those at higher risk. Our care model focuses on coordinating services, closing care gaps, and preventing avoidable emergency department visits and hospitalizations.

We are a family practice serving patients across the full lifespan, from newborns through end-of-life care.

Our Medical Assistants (MAs) and Ambulatory Care Team (ACT) operate within a pod-based structure. This model allows efficient and collaborative coverage of key responsibilities, including:

• Chart preparation
• Patient rooming
• Vital sign collection
• Point-of-care (POC) testing
• In-basket management

This coordinated approach supports high-quality, patient-centered care while improving workflow efficiency and team accountability.

Weekly Hours of work: Monday 6:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Tuesday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Wednesday 6:45 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Thursday off.; Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
