Job summary

Corewell Health is hiring a Medical Assistant for a primary care clinic in Grandville, MI. The MA will room patients, manage standard workflows, answer phones, and provide immunizations while supporting a close-knit clinical team.

This full-time position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants or current CHW MA Apprentice Students. Shift is day hours, 36 per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands‑on, in‑person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one year of experience in MA/LPN/Paramedic/EMT performing direct patient care.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days; CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA within 120 days (one of).

Responsibilities

• Be a vital part of the clinical support team working with other healthcare professionals.

Scope of work

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands‑on, in‑person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
