Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Medical Assistant in Sun City West, AZ, to support providers in quality clinics with back-office duties such as injections, testing, and phlebotomy. You will deliver excellent patient service and help maintain quality standards.

The role requires a Medical Assistant program completion or military medic background, CPR/BLS certification (or within 30 days), and a high school diploma or GED. Local travel is not indicated; on-site position with full benefits.

The Medical Assistant performs a variety of back office activities to assist providers in conducting quality clinics, including administering injections, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, quality surveys and various other procedures. Delivers exceptional customer service and maintains established quality control standards.

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or Military Medic program
• Current CPR and / or BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in an ambulatory care setting
• Experience with multiple EMR/EHR Systems such as EPIC, E-Clinical Works (ECW), Allscripts Practice Management (APM), NextGen, Cerner
• Bilingual - Spanish
