UnitedHealth Group is hiring a Medical Assistant - Primary Care to support providers with back-office tasks, including injections, phlebotomy, and patient testing in a fast-paced clinic.

The role requires completing a Medical Assistant program or Military Medic program, plus CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days. A sign-on bonus and robust benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program, or Military Medic program.
• Current CPR and/or BLS certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• 1+ years of experience in ambulatory care preferred; familiarity with multiple EMR/EHR systems such as EPIC, ECW, APM, NextGen, Cerner.

Responsibilities

• Back-office support to assist providers in conducting quality clinics.
• Administer injections, perform diagnostic testing and phlebotomy.
• Maintain quality surveys and uphold established quality control standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the patient journey.

The Medical Assistant performs a variety of back office activities to assist providers in conducting quality clinics, including administering injections, diagnostic testing, phlebotomy, quality surveys and various other procedures. Delivers exceptional customer service and maintains established quality control standards.

Required Qualifications:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16 - $29 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
