Job summary

Endeavor Health in Rolling Meadows, IL, is seeking a Medical Assistant for a busy Primary Care office. You will prepare patients for exams, collect specimens, perform routine tests, and may perform phlebotomy and injections under physician supervision. Clerical duties are included to support clinic operations.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and current CMA/RMA/CCMA certification. CPR is required, and travel to other locations may be needed occasionally.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified/registered medical assistants (CMA, RMA, CCMA) required with current certification/registration.
• Current CPR certification required.
• At least 6 months of clinical experience preferred if certified; if not certified, at least 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for physical examination and obtain specimens.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and record results.
• May perform phlebotomy and administer selected medications/injections under supervision.
• Handle clerical duties related to clinic operations.

Education

High school diploma or GED

CMA/RMA/CCMA certification (AAMA/ARMA/NHA)

CPR Certification (American Heart Association)

Clinical experience: 6 months (preferred)

Prepare patients for physical examination, obtain specimens, conduct select routine laboratory tests and records results, routine diagnostic tests and may perform phlebotomy. Under general supervision of a physician, administer selected medications/injections. Also performs clerical duties related to clinic operations.
