Job summary

Saint Mary's Medical Group in Reno, NV is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient care and clinic operations. You will handle clerical tasks, assist with exams, and help keep patient flow smooth.

The role requires at least six months of direct patient care experience, a high school diploma, completion of a Medical Assistant program or EMT license, English fluency, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care or direct patient care.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Training program and/or EMT license preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Office Laboratory Assistant License from Nevada required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and related clerical tasks.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient charts.
• Provide information to patients to help them fully utilize clinic services.
• Convey a positive image of the organization.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• A minimum of six months experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care physician practice setting and/or direct patient care experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program and/or equivalent experience or EMT license preferred.
• Fluency in English.
• Must have BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
• Office Laboratory Assistant License from the State of Nevada is required within 90 days of hire outside of the Cardiology Practices.
