Job summary

Patient First is seeking a dedicated team member to support patient triage, vital signs collection, and clinical assistance. The role involves EMR usage, lab and x-ray coordination, and close collaboration with Nurses and Physicians.

Candidates should have strong multitasking abilities, 18+ years of age, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior clinical experience is preferred. Center-wide coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum typing experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (possibly 4 to 7 hours at a time).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Willingness to work at any center due to a staffing or center emergency or reduction of work.

Responsibilities

• Locating patients, obtaining vital signs and triaging as needed.
• Understanding and using the electronic medical record system.
• Ordering lab, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
• Notifying Nurse/Physician when ready for exam and relaying questions about lab needs.
• Assisting Nurses and Physicians with patient care.
• Handling physician and nurse requests in a timely manner.
• Performing lab duties and phlebotomy as assigned.
• Sterilizing and setting up instruments; restocking treatment rooms.
