Job summary

Premise Health Inc. operates a full-time Medical Assistant role in our New York, NY Health Center. You will primarily support the onsite lab with phlebotomy duties and ensure smooth patient flow from check-in to check-out.

Responsibilities include taking vitals, maintaining accurate health records, prepping treatment rooms, and assisting at the front desk. The role requires BLS certification and prior MA experience, with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have national certification in Medical Assisting or accredited program with hands-on externshipCompleted
• Current Basic Life Support (AHA/ARC) certification required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accuracy
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Administers medications including injections and performs lab tests, operates EKGs
• Performs administrative tasks at the front desk, schedules appointments, and orders supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned
