Job summary

Patient First seeks a Medical Support professional to assist clinicians with patient intake, vitals, and basic procedures. You will work with Physicians and Nurses, perform phlebotomy, and operate the EMR system to support efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, ordering labs and supplies, and ensuring clean, ready spaces. A hospital or physician’s office background and CPR training are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum typing experience.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (4–7 hours).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• CPR classes and code drills as required.

Responsibilities

• Locate patients and obtain accurate vital signs.
• Triage patients and assess medical condition.
• Prepare patients for physicals and treatment by Physicians and Nurses.
• Understand and use the EMR system.
• Order labs, x-ray, and medical supplies as directed.
• Notify Nurse/Physician when patient is ready for exam and relay questions about labs or X-rays.
• Assist Nurses and Physicians with treatments and care.
• Perform phlebotomy procedures as directed.
• Sterilize and set up instruments; restock treatment rooms.
