Job summary

Patient First is seeking a compassionate healthcare assistant to support nurses and physicians in our Louisiana centers. You will locate patients, obtain vital signs, triage, and prepare for exams while maintaining the EMR and supply chain functions.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient care, and efficient multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Eligibility includes a high school diploma and CPR training; lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience in hospital or physician’s office preferred.
• Ability to hear pages, bells, and phone system.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods (4–7 hours).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Attend scheduled CPR classes and code drills.
• Prioritize and multitask.
• Willingness to work at any center due to staffing emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Locate patients and obtain accurate vital signs.
• Triage patients and prepare for exams by physicians and nurses.
• Use the electronic medical record system.
• Order labs, x-ray, and supplies as directed.
• Assist nurses and physicians with patient care.
