American Oncology Management Company is seeking a Medical Assistant/Lab Support role to assist physicians with procedures in an oncology office. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, laboratory testing, quality control, and maintaining instrument and log records.

Qualified candidates will perform venipuncture, prepare specimens, and document data in the EMR system, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Travel to other clinics may be required.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• One year of experience as a medical assistant in a clinic or physician’s office with venipuncture ability.

Responsabilidades

• Assist physicians with medical procedures and phlebotomy.
• Perform laboratory testing and quality control procedures.
• Manage specimen handling and processing according to regulatory standards.
• Prepare slides for evaluation and coordinate outside lab referrals as needed.
• Document results in EMR and charge patient for services.
• Maintain logs for QA/QC, equipment, and regulatory compliance.
• Support multi-site clinics and transport samples as required.
• Adhere to safety policies and HIPAA/privacy requirements.
