Job summary

The successful candidate will collect vital signs, document in the EMR, and assist with procedures such as bone marrows, paracentesis, and pelvic exams when required. A strong team player with OSHA/compliance awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of medical assistant experience preferred.
• Experience with venipuncture and lab workflows is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures and patient care.
• Perform phlebotomy and in-lab testing with quality control.
• Maintain lab records, QC logs, and equipment documentation.
• Handle specimen processing and external laboratory referrals as needed.
• Document vital signs and PHQ9 when requested and note in EMR.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist with scheduling and coordinating tests.
