Job summary

Qualifications

• Nationally Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (NHA, AAMA, AMT, AMCA, NAHP, NCCT, or AAH)
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers required
• 1 year of experience preferred
• Phlebotomy experience required
• High School Diploma/Equivalency required
• Experience in primary care, family practice, internal medicine, urgent care or ER preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs point-of-care tests, EKGs, wound care and other patient care activities
• Collects and documents vital signs, histories, and screenings
• Authorizes prescription refills as directed
• Prepares patients, rooms, and supplies for visits or examinations
• Phlebotomy and specimen processing
• Cleans and maintains treatment rooms and equipment
• Other duties as assigned
