Job summary

Family Practice of Conyers is seeking a phenomenal Medical Assistant to support physicians, nurses, and staff with both administrative and clinical duties. You will greet patients, verify histories, measure vital signs, prepare exam rooms, draw blood, perform basic lab tests, and maintain electronic records with confidentiality.

The role emphasizes high patient flow, adherence to standards, and participation in Chronic Care Management programs, within a full-time schedule of 36–40 hours per week

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience in Athena EMR system.
• Maintain compliance with legal regulations and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients.
• Verify patients’ medical histories.
• Explain treatment procedures to patients.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital signs.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist clinicians.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic tests.
• Draw blood and perform routine specimen collection.
• Set up EKG machines and administer injections.
• Record patient information accurately in electronic records.
• Process referrals and health forms.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate admissions.
