Pay Range: $16.50 - $23.48 per hour
SCOPE: Under direct supervision, assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a clinical environment. Promotes efficient patient flow and patient care, including exams and procedures. Performs clinic support tasks such as clerical duties, answering phones, and maintaining physicians' schedules. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
High school diploma or equivalent. Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Requires 1-3 years of experience as a medical or nursing assistant. Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire. Certified Medical Assistant preferred. Some state regulations may require specific certifications.
Includes handling and lifting patients, manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs. Requires normal vision and hearing.
Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, radiation, and other hazards typical of an oncology/hematology clinic. Reasonable accommodations provided as needed.
