Summary:
The Medical Assistant works under the clinical supervision of licensed healthcare professionals to deliver patient care and assist providers. They collaborate with other healthcare team members and perform clerical duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Education: Associate's degree or successful completion of an accredited medical assisting program, or 3-5 years of Medical Assistant experience. BLS certification required within 90 days of employment.

Experience: Previous Medical Assistant experience and certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Word, email), medical terminology, physical and mental stamina, dexterity, organizational, communication, and time management skills. Knowledge of related office procedures and Patient Centered Medical Home concepts is preferred.

Working Conditions:
Ability to travel between facilities, exposure to infections, contagious diseases, and patient elements. Flexibility in working hours, handling emergencies, and working in a moderate noise environment. Subject to interruptions and short-notice absences.
