$2000 SIGN ON BONUS

Certification Required: - 12 months of experience with a 12-month commitment. The payout is $1,000 at 30-45 days after starting, and another $1,000 at 12 months. Plus, an $80 allowance for scrubs within the first 45 days of hire.

Role Overview: As a Medical Assistant, you will work directly with patients and families after check-in, providing care and support. This role is suitable for those starting their career or with extensive experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MA Diploma from an accredited MA school
• BLS Provider certification (in person, Banner approved)

Preferred Qualifications:

• MA National Certification from AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA

Position Summary

This position supports clinicians and nursing staff in delivering medical care, utilizing specialized knowledge and skills to ensure an excellent patient experience.

Core Functions

1. Prepare patients for exams and treatments, record vital signs, symptoms, and chief complaints; report changes to clinicians.
2. Assist with exams and minor procedures, including phlebotomy, ear irrigation, and EKGs. Use universal precautions and PPE as needed.
3. Coordinate patient care: manage pre-certifications, referrals, prescriptions, and scheduling. Communicate test results and administer medications as directed.
4. Support clerical tasks: maintain medical records, labs, imaging, and billing information.
5. Maintain a clean environment, disinfect equipment, and perform basic maintenance.
6. Order supplies, stock care areas, and manage medications.
7. Develop effective communication with all stakeholders and exemplify service orientation.
8. Complete onboarding and training activities as required.
9. Work under supervision, interacting with staff, physicians, patients, and external contacts, prioritizing patient data and health status updates.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program
• Active Medical Assistant Certification (e.g., RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA)
• BLS certification

Strong computer skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are required. Specific fingerprint clearance cards are mandated for certain employment settings.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with office procedures, insurance, EMR, and scheduling software is preferred. Additional education or experience related to medical assisting is also advantageous.
