Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Job Description

As a Pediatric Medical Assistant (MA) in our pediatric care facility, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients of all ages. Our urgent care center handles conditions such as flu, strep throat, COVID-19, urinary tract infections, and more. Responsibilities include:

1. Conducting in-house diagnostic tests (flu, strep, COVID-19, urine analysis, etc.)
2. Performing minor procedures (ear irrigation, splinting, wound repairs, burn dressing)
3. Ensuring accurate medication dosing and providing discharge instructions
4. Recognizing signs of worsening conditions and reporting to healthcare providers
5. Participating in patient education on preventive care and follow-up
6. Collaborating with healthcare team members for coordinated care
7. Adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining a safe environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant training preferred
• Certification as CMA or RMA preferred
• Experience in urgent care or primary care highly desirable
• Knowledge of medication dosing for pediatric and adult patients
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to patient confidentiality
• Willingness to undergo additional training

Employment Details

Type: Full-time, Entry level

Schedule: 3x12 shifts, including weekends and holidays
