Medical Assistant- Pediatrics

Germantown, MD

Pay From: $22 per hour

MUST:

• Experienced Medical Assistant
• 2+ years of pediatric experience
• 1+ year of phone triage experience
• Candidate must demonstrate strong communication skills

Previous EMR experience required

DUTIES:

• Answering calls from patients
• Documenting and escalating calls when needed
• Perform and properly document procedures
• Administer medications
• Act as liaison between provider and patient
• Update the medical records for provider review
• Call prescriptions in to pharmacies as directed by provider
• Assist with procedures utilizing aseptic technique, application of minor dressings, removing sutures, and applying splints as directed by the provider
• Maintain medical equipment in proper working order
• Assist the provider in emergency situations
• Perform patient teaching as warranted
