Full Time Days

As a UVA Health Northern VA & Culpeper team member, you will have a voice in patient care decisions, support advanced medical technologies, and experience daily satisfaction from making a difference in people's lives.

Responsibilities

1. Record and relay patient information, symptoms, and concerns to medical providers or nurses for triage and care planning.
2. Perform clinical intake, health data collection, and documentation.
3. Perform tasks within scope of practice and as directed by a licensed practitioner or nurse.
4. Implement age-appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs.
5. Reinforce patient/family education using approved materials or written instructions.

Communication

1. Communicate effectively with team members, patients, and providers.
2. Use appropriate communication tools and document in EHR.

Teamwork

1. Support team responsibilities and work collaboratively to meet patient and operational needs.
2. Prioritize daily tasks to support patient care and team efficiency.

Technical Skills

1. Provide clinical support under supervision and document services rendered.
2. Perform administrative duties as directed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year clinic experience preferred.
• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), CCMA, or RMA credentials or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• CPR/BLS certification required.

Physical Demands

Medium to heavy physical activity, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting up to 100 lbs with proper equipment.

Additional Information

• May require safety equipment use, such as masks.
• Ability to travel between facilities as needed.
