Job summary

Vail Health Hospital in Avon, CO is seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our pediatric team. You will support infants through teens and their families, assisting with exams, vaccinations, venipuncture, and routine well-child checks in a warm, patient-centered environment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of healthcare experience, MA certification/licensure, and BLS. Proficiency with EHRs and strong communication with caregivers are essential in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

2+ years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience preferred—pediatric experience a plus.
Certification/licensure as a Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, LPN, RN, or related role.
BLS certification required.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric setting.
Tech-savvy with EHR systems and general computer skills.

Responsibilities

Take vitals and document patient history in a kid-friendly, family-centered way.
Assist providers with pediatric exams, vaccinations, and minor procedures.
Perform venipunctures and injections; support delegated clinical tasks.
Support developmental screenings and routine well-child checks.
Maintain clear communication with parents and caregivers; coordinate patient flow.

As a Pediatric Medical Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of a collaborative care team dedicated to supporting infants, children, teens, and their families. You’ll create a warm, welcoming environment while helping ensure each child receives compassionate, high-quality care.

BLS certification required
