Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Internal Medicine clinic team in Avon, Colorado—a mountain town known for hiking, skiing, and outdoor living.

You’ll support providers and patients from newborns to seniors, perform vitals, venipuncture, injections, and basic procedures, and help manage patient flow in a compassionate, efficient clinic.

Qualifications

2+ years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience preferred.
Skilled in venipuncture, injections, and IV therapy.
Certified as a Medical Assistant, EMT, LPN, RN, or similar.
BLS certification required.
Tech-savvy with EHR systems and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

Taking vitals and documenting patient history.
Assisting with exams and minor procedures.
Performing venipunctures, injections, and IV therapy.
Monitoring patient conditions and communicating updates.
Managing patient communications and flow.
Keeping exam rooms stocked, clean, and ready.
Upholding HIPAA, OSHA, and Vail Health’s values.
