Job summary

Howard Head Sports Medicine is seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant to join the Avon, Colorado pediatric clinic. This full-time role supports infants to teens with a family-centered approach, assisting with exams, vaccinations, and routine cares.

You will work within a collaborative pediatrics team at Vail Health, utilizing EHR systems and maintaining high standards of patient flow and safety in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Certification/licensure as a Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, LPN, RN, or related role
• BLS certification required
• 2+ years of clinical or administrative healthcare experience preferred, pediatric experience a plus
• Tech-savvy with EHR systems and general computer skills

Responsibilities

• Taking vitals and documenting patient history in a kid-friendly, family-centered way
• Assisting providers with pediatric exams, vaccinations, and minor procedures
• Performing venipunctures, injections, and other delegated clinical tasks
• Supporting developmental screenings and routine well-child checks
• Maintaining clear communication with parents and caregivers
• Coordinating patient flow to keep visits smooth and low-stress

What You’ll Do

As a Pediatric Medical Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of a collaborative care team dedicated to supporting infants, children, teens, and their families. You’ll create a warm, welcoming environment while helping ensure each child receives compassionate, high-quality care.

Your impact includes

Skills in venipuncture, injections, and basic clinical procedures

Certification/licensure as a Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT, LPN, RN, or related role

BLS certification required

Comfortable working in a fast-paced pediatric setting

Tech-savvy with EHR systems and general computer skills

A warm, patient, family-centered approach to care

Compensation Snapshot

CNA or EMT $22.00 – $28.39
