Job summary

Endeavor Health in Lake Forest, IL seeks a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant. This full-time role covers front-desk tasks and clinical support in a primary care setting. You will greet patients, schedule visits, collect payments, and help with vitals and basic procedures as needed.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant – Primary Care Position Highlights

• Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
• Location: Lake Forest, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Rotating hours between 7am-6pm with rotating weekends
• Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department need

What you will do:

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
