Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant to join our Deerfield, IL site. This per diem, part-time role covers Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays, performing front-office tasks, patient registration, and basic clinical support under physician supervision.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent), CPR certification, and at least one year of medical office experience. Phlebotomy/injection duties may be required.

• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field preferred.

Salary and Compensation

Hourly Pay Range: $20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Details

• Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant
• Location: Deerfield, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem
• Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5p with rotating Saturdays
• Required Travel: Travel to other sites based upon department need

Key Responsibilities

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience.
