Job summary

BMCHS is seeking a Medical Assistant / Patient Service Specialist to support the Endocrinology department. You will room patients, take vitals, document history, and assist with in-office testing and consent forms.

The role requires strong customer service, excellent communication, and ability to work independently. Experience with EMR (Epic preferred) and MS Office is desired; high school diploma or MA program is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Education from approved medical assistant/medical secretary program or equivalent preferred.
• One to three years as a medical assistant or medical secretary preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and prepare patients for visits.
• Take vital signs and document in EMR.
• Register patients and verify demographics/insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and testing as directed.
• Coordinate pre-visit planning and outreach for patient care.
