Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant/Patient Services Representativeto join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Leesburg, Virginia.

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with 1to 2 holidays and weekend per year in our Fairfax office
• Compensation: $22 to $24 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Medical Assistant/Patient Services Representativewill:

• Perform high volume of phlebotomy
• Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Assist with the clinical care of fertility patients
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Perform semen washes and sets up for IUIs
• Take vital signs and provide general clinical assistance
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels
• Check patients in/out, answer phones, schedule appointments, collect payments
• Support and promote excellence in customer service

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Strong phlebotomy skills required
• High School diploma
• Completion of a formal MA program; preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail, demonstrated ability to follow-through, and high degree of comfort with computer applications, accuracy and speed with data entry is required
• Minimum of one year of prior experience in healthcare and familiarity with medical terminology
