Job summary

US Fertility is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Westshore, Florida team. You will perform phlebotomy, manage blood-drawing stations, and support patient care within a nationally recognized fertility network.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least 1 year of experience, with strong computer skills and teamwork. You will help maintain accurate records in the EMR and coordinate patient check-in/out with empathy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; formal medical training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Westshore, Florida.

• Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with weekend and holiday rotations

In this role, the Medical Assistant will:

• Perform a high volume of phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions
• Set up, stock, and maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations
• Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs
• Document patient care services utilizing daily logs, electronic medical records, and appropriate outside laboratory forms
• Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels, ensure orders for lab work are in place
• Check patients in/out, answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect payments clinical care of fertility patients
• Set up rooms for procedures, take vital signs, obtain patient height and weight, assist with procedures as needed, clean and stock rooms and care for equipment according to manufacturer and OSHA guidelines
• Maintain patient medical records through the use of electronic medical records

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• High school diploma
• Completion of a certified or formal medical training programpreferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
• Computer proficiency required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and build and maintain effective working relationships
• Excellent verbal and written communication
