Vivent Health seeks a Medical Assistant/Patient Services Representative to register patients, schedule visits, and support a compassionate care model in Highland Park, MI. The role combines clinical duties such as rooming, vital signs, vaccinations, ECGs, and phlebotomy with front-desk administrative responsibilities.

The position emphasizes equity, dignity, and access, working within a collaborative team to improve patient outcomes and patient experience in a not-for-profit HIV/AIDS care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year or more experience in phlebotomy.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional administrative experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required; RMA accepted in states where applicable.
• Basic lifesaving certificate (BLS).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Spanish language skills a plus.

Responsabilités

• Register and update patient information in electronic health records, schedule patient appointments, verify insurance, and collect co-pays.
• Provide direct patient care, including rooming, vital signs, vaccinations, ECGs, and phlebotomy.
• Answer, screen, and forward phone calls with basic information.
• Support staff with administrative tasks and maintain patient records in compliance with regulations.
• Process specialty care referrals and abstract lab results.
