Endeavor Health is seeking a Medical Assistant/Patient Support Assistant for the Cardiovascular Rapid Care Center at Highland Park Hospital. The role supports physicians in a busy clinical setting with front office duties including patient registration, scheduling and insurance verification, and basic vitals.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and previous medical office experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred but not required.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; MA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Collect co-payments and complete patient registrations.
• Provide front office administrative support to the physician practice.
• Check in/out patients and verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms; document vitals, allergies, medications and visit reason.
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required.
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight) as needed.
