Job summary

AllianceHealth Durant Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of a medical provider. You will assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, handle patient intake, and help keep clinic operations running smoothly.

The role requires completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (0-1 years experience acceptable). BCLS certification is required and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with non-invasive medical procedures and vital signs.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms before patient visits and procedures.
• Performs patient intake duties including test results reporting and triage.
• Maintains daily logs and clinic documentation.
• Coordinates referrals, schedules appointments, and verifies insurance.
• Supports courteous, efficient service to providers, patients, and visitors.
• Monitors supplies and ensures inventory levels.
