Job summary

Responsibilities include managing patient flow, taking vitals, administering vaccinations and point-of-care tests, and entering documents into the EMR. The role requires MA certification or coursework, 1 year of MA experience, CPR/BLS, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• State or national certification (as required by state), or graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR or BLS certification.
• Electronic Medical Record experience.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer programs (Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel/Sheets).
• Non-English language proficiency as required by center demographics.
• US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient patient flow and room patients in a timely manner; perform vital signs and screenings.
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms.
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (lab results, records requests).
• May administer vaccinations and perform point-of-care tests (A1C, spirometry, EKGs, blood draws).
• Import documents into EMR via scanning or PDF upload.
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment; request records as required by providers.
• Conduct routine quality control checks and assist in maintaining center lab.
