Ohio State University Physicians is hiring a Medical Assistant to support direct patient care and routine procedures. You will room patients, record vitals, interview patients, prepare for exams, and assist clinicians as needed.

The role emphasizes accurate sample collection, patient communication, and maintaining clean, ready-to-use treatment spaces in a collaborative outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, plus one of the listed paths.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or 1 year of medical assisting experience.
• EMT-P or Military Medic training acceptable.
• Equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and record vital signs (height, weight, temp, BP, pulse, respiration).
• Complete patient interviews and gather medical history.
• Prepare patients for examinations and explain procedures.
• Assist in examinations and with treatments as ordered.
• Set up equipment and prepare treatment rooms.
• Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine lab tests.
