Job summary

The Ohio State University Physicians, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team in Columbus.

You will room patients, record vital signs, interview and prepare patients for examinations, and assist with procedures under physician supervision. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and/or a Medical Assistant program diploma.
• May include EMT-P or Military Medic training as applicable.
• At least 1 year of medical assisting experience or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, measure and record vital signs including height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration.
• Complete patient interview and history.
• Prepare patients for examinations, tests and treatments; assist with procedures as ordered by physician.
• May assist in examinations, carry out treatments and special tests.
• Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms for patients.
• Collect samples (blood, urine, sputum) and perform routine lab tests.
