Job summary

Concentra is hiring for a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team. The role supports DOT and Non-DOT testing, prepares patients for examinations, and assists clinicians with procedures.

You will perform rapid screenings, administer vaccines as needed, and handle front and back office tasks to ensure efficient patient flow. The ideal candidate has a completed medical assistant program (externship preferred) or at least one year of direct patient care experience, and demonstrates HIPAA

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, or at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examinations and treatment.
• Handle routine medical procedures and triage emergencies as needed.
• Prepare and assist clinician with procedure setup and injury care.
• Apply bandages, dressings and splints as ordered.
• Dispense medications and DME per state regulations.
• Maintain equipment, supplies, and clinical areas; ensure clean rooms.
• Document accurately and handle front/back office duties; manage patient flow.
