Concentra is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team in a fast-paced occupational medicine setting. You will perform DOT and non-DOT drug testing, prepare patients for examinations, assist clinicians, and handle front/back office duties with a focus on accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

Ideal candidates have graduate-level MA training or at least one year of direct patient care, with strong customer service, teamwork, and data-entry skills.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant, OR military medical specialist experience must meet state credentials.

Responsabilidades

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug/alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Perform routine medical procedures as ordered and triage emergencies.
• Prepare and assist clinician with procedure setup and injury care.
• Apply bandages, dressings and splints per clinician orders.
• Dispense medications and DME as ordered per state regulations.
• QA activities on equipment and devices; test processes.
• Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment; stock exam rooms.
• Operate and calibrate medical devices; document per policy.
• Notify supervisor if equipment or facility issues arise.
• Support patient flow and inform patients of wait times.
