Job summary

The Portland Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support licensed providers in exam rooms, record vital signs, and prepare patients for procedures. You will collaborate with RNs, LPNs, and other staff to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include assisting with in-office procedures, performing EKGs, spirometry, wound care, and vaccinations, while maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation in the EHR. A strong team player mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification or requirements fulfilled within 90 days from hire and MA certification within 120 days.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current American Heart Association CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exam or treatment and document vital signs in the EHR.
• Prioritize and communicate patient concerns with clinicians for follow-up.
• Assist LIP with procedures, including gynecological exams, EKGs, spirometry, wound care, and vaccines.
