Job summary

The Portland Clinic in Beaverton, Oregon is hiring a Medical Assistant to support licensed practitioners in patient care and to maintain efficient clinic operations. You will work with RNs, LPNs, and other staff to prepare patients, assist in procedures, and manage front-d desk tasks.

Expect 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with a $1,000 signing bonus after 90 days. A HIPAA/OSHA compliant environment and team-based care model are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Assistant Certification or meet certification requirements within 120 days of hire; EMT optional with active status.
• Current American Heart Association CPR certification.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification within 90 days from hire and proof of MA certification within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams and document vital signs in EHR.
• Assist licensed practitioner with procedures and exams.
• Coordinate with clinicians for follow-up and communicate patient concerns.
• Maintain exam rooms and ensure sterilization per OSHA guidelines.
• Manage front desk tasks: scheduling, messages, prescriptions, referrals, and MyChart notifications.
• Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance at all times.
