Responsibilities

• Assist patient over the course of their visit; facilitate timely flow and inform provider of delays.
• Communicate clearly with patient and team; provide hand-offs to provider.
• Perform medical assisting duties under supervision: vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, immunizations when qualified.
• Lead conversations to meet population health goals and health coaching.
• Queue prescription renewals in EHR; document tasks for proper billing.
• Schedule diagnostic tests and verify insurance, including prior authorizations.
