Job summary

Mendocino Community Health Centers (MCHC) in Willits, CA, seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a fast-paced primary care setting. You will welcome patients, collect vitals, assist with exams, and help ensure timely medication and vaccination administration.

You will gain exposure to family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, psychiatry, and specialty services while maintaining accurate EHR documentation and participating in quality improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for visits, collecting vital signs.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments within your scope of practice.
• Administer medications and vaccines per provider orders.
• Perform routine tests and assist with lab specimens.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR system.
• Help manage prescription refill requests and medication reconciliations.
• Provide patient education and support as directed by the provider.
• Participate in team huddles, trainings, and QA activities.
• Occasionally travel to support other MCHC sites.
• Cross-train in family medicine, pediatrics, internal medicine, psychiatry, and specialty services.
