Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Medical Assistant to support licensed medical providers across clinic and surgical settings. You will assist during exams, manage patient records and vitals, and prepare treatment rooms with emphasis on patient safety and accurate documentation.

You will collect specimens, explain procedures, and help with injections while ensuring HIPAA compliance and professional communication in English. This role requires teamwork and quick adaptation to varied clinical tasks.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a medical setting.
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and medications.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to follow or provide instructions with good grammar and spelling.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers during exams and procedures.
• Record patient medical history, medications, allergies and vitals.
• Prepare examination or procedure rooms and maintain sterile field.
• Collect blood, tissue or other specimens and prepare for testing.
• Explain procedures, medications, diets and wound care to patients.
• Administer medications per physician protocol and assist with injections.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Respond to emergencies per facility policies and document accordingly.
