Paycom - ATS is hiring a Medical Assistant to assist licensed providers in clinic and surgical settings. You will collect patient information, measure vitals, prepare rooms, and help with procedures while ensuring safety and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• One (1)+ year experience in a medical setting, preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of sterile technique, anatomy, and medications.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with clear grammar.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Serve as patient advocate during exam and treatment.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians during procedures.
• Record medical history, medications, allergies, and test results.
• Explain procedures, medications, and wound care to patients.
• Assist with injections, sutures, and specimen collection.
• Prepare treatment rooms, maintain cleanliness, and sterilize equipment.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
• Assist in emergencies per facility policy and document actions.
