• Administer medications and provide prescription information as directed.
• Assist with injections and wound care, including dressing changes.

• Respond to emergencies per facility policies and nursing standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate during exams and treatment.

• Prepare exam rooms, procedure rooms, or operative rooms for the physician.
• Record medical history, medications, allergies, and test results.
• Obtain consent forms before treatment and prepare patient for procedures.
• Collect blood and specimens; log and prep for testing.
• Explain treatments, medications, diets, and post-care instructions.
• Assist physicians in examining and treating patients, delivering injections, and removing sutures.
• Authorize drug refills under provider direction and convey prescription details to pharmacies.
• Keep rooms clean and stocked, maintain sterile fields, and dispose of waste properly.
• Assist in emergency situations and document per policy.
• Inventory and order emergency supplies and ensure equipment readiness.
• Maintain compliance with policies to ensure high-quality patient service.
