Qualifications

• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs
• Record medical histories, medications, allergies, and test results
• Explain treatment procedures and physician instructions to patients
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain sterile fields

Responsibilities

• Serve as a patient advocate during exams and treatment
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs
• Show patients to examination or procedure rooms and prepare them for the physician
• Record medical histories, medications, allergies, vitals and test results
• Obtain consent forms prior to treatment and prepare medications as directed
• Assist with injections and suture removal; provide prescription information to pharmacies
• Prepare rooms, maintain sterility, and dispose of biohazards
• Schedule appointments and coordinate tests/admissions
• Change wound dressings and greet patients on arrival
• Inventory and order supplies and ensure equipment is functional
• Perform routine lab tests and document procedures promptly
• Assist in emergencies and maintain patient safety according to policies
• Clean rooms and equipment between patients and daily shutdowns
• Adhere to policies while delivering high-quality service
• Perform other duties as needed for the organization
